today i am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. what is success? it is what everyone is longing times success would be rather simple. winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success; making a new friend is success; even now i am standing here giving my speech is somehow also success.

however, as a personsquo;s whole life is concerned, success becomes very complicated. is fortune success? is fame success? is high social status success? no, i donsquo;t think so. i believe success is the realization of peoplesquo;s hopes and days, in the modern society there are many people

who are regarded as the successful. and the most obvious characteristics of hem are money, high position and luxurious life. so most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. but the problem is wether it is real success. we all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. if we keep chasing them, where is the end? what will satisfy us at last? therefore, we can see, to get the real success we must need something inside, which is the realization of peoplesquo; hopes and ideals.

different people have different ideas about success; cause peoplesquo;s hopes and ideas vary from one another. but i am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. these are the best treasures. so now i am very proud that i have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. it is my success, cause i raise up to challenge my hope.

what is success? everyone has his own interpretation as i do. but i am sure every success leads to an ever-brighter future. so ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hopes, believe in ourselves, we, every one of us, can make a successful life!

what is nature? it's everything that exists in the world independently of people, such as pants and animals, earth and rocks, and the weather.

now more and more people are focusing on the nature. it is no doubt that the nature is important to every human being. no nature, no life. because of the supplies of the nature, we have lived happily for a long time. and we started to gain every thing available from the nature. and this lasted so long a time. today, people have discovered that the nature around is getting worse and worse.

what is threatening the nature? air and water pollution, overharvesting of plant and animal species, overpopulation and so on. overpopulation is the biggest source of pollution. let's take overpopulation as an example.

what does overpopulation feel like? when we move slowly through the city in a tazi. when we enter a crowded slum district. when the temperature is high and when the air is thick with dust and smoke. the streets are crowded with people. the streets seem alive with people. people eating. people washing. people talking. people sleeping. people visiting each other, arguing and screaming. people relieving themselves. people pushing their hands through the taxi windows, begging. people leading animals. people, people, people, people. as we drive slowly through the crowd, sounding the taxi's horn, the dust, heat, noise and cooking fires made it like a scene from hell! i admit, frightening.

to the nature, overpopulation is a big problem. more people, more pollution. and the big population is threatening the nature every second.

we have also come to this hallowed spot to remind america of the fierce urgency of now. this is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. now is the time to make justice a reality for all of god's children.

it would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. this sweltering summer of the negro's legitimate discontent will not pauntil there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. and those who hope that the negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to busineas usual. and there will be neither rest nor tranquility in america until the negro is granted his citizenship rights. the whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.

but there is something that i must say to my people, who stand on the warm threshold which leads into the palace of justice: in the proceof gaining our rightful place, we must not be guilty of wrongful deeds. let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterneand hatred. we must forever conduct our struggle on the high plane of dignity and discipline. we must not allow our creative protest to degenerate into physical violence. again and again, we must rise to the majestic heights of meeting physical force with soul force.

one day, the woodcutter to go home, but accidentally by the window to see his wife and the village pawnbroker cheating at home. when he opened the door, also clearly heard the pawnbroker hurried to find a place to hide the sound.

but he was always a calm and humorous person. he quietly stepped forward and hugged his wife, told her: "god gave me a forest of clairvoyance, i only need to look at a small piece of wood in the middle, ordinary people can see things invisible." he also told his wife, he found the room closet to hide a thing of value (nature refers to the pawnshop owner). in order to prove his new abilities, and he will carry it to the locker, the pawn on the counter to the waiter in the store offered 50 gold coins, selling cabinets and cabinets.

then, the woodcutter went outside and leisurely paced, pumping smoke, let man slowly take this business. at this time, he heard the cabinet room at a stuffy pawnbroker in the cupboard shouting loudly, asking the staff quickly to pay the ransom, good let him out.

in this ancient japanese fable, the use of a clever trick, make people the impression stingy pawnbroker for their actions "pay the price". the reverse is calm and witty situation, not only that he easily won 50 gold coins, his conscience to revenge (if he in a rage to kill a pawnbroker, may, at the same time to prove his the loss outweighs the gain.) superior to others, do not need to worry about this matter lose face, in addition, the woodcutter also can more easily face and deal with their pain.

the wise, is in the very moment mood, still can choose to keep a sense of humor, to outwit, will own out of anger, to deal with both actual and angry things.

in fact, everyone in life will inevitably encounter such a critical moment or unexpected changes, as long as we can calm face, flexible processing will be able to find a good solution

i am chinese. i am proud of being a chinese with five thousand years of civilization behind. i've learned about the four great inventions made by our forefathers. i've learned about the great wall and the yangtze river. i've learned about zhang heng(張衡)and i've learned about zheng he(鄭和) says the yellow river civilization has vanished(消失)?i know that my ancestors have made miracles(奇蹟)on this fertile land and we're still ma-ki-ng miracles. who can ignore the fact that we have established ourselves as a great state in the world, that we have devised our own nuclear weapons, that we have successfully sent our satellites into space, and that our gnp ranks no. 7 in the world? we have experienced the plunders (掠奪) by other nations, and we have experienced the war. yet, based on such ruins, there still stands our nation----china, unyielding and unconquerable!

i once came acroan american tourist. she said, china has a history of five thousand years, but the us only has a history of 200 years. five thousand years ago, china took the lead in the world, and now it is the us that is heart was deeply touched by these words. it is true that we're still a developing nation, but it doesn't mean that we can despise (鄙視) ourselves. we have such a long-standing history, we have such abundant resources, we have such intelligent and diligent people, and we have enough to be proud of. we have reasons to say proudly: we are sure to take the lead in the world in the future again, for our problems are big, but our ambition (雄心) is even bigger, our challenges (挑戰) are great, but our will is evengreater.
