首先，我來介紹下我們所學習的教材特點，方便您更好的對孩子進行課外輔導。第一冊全書共分9個單元，內含一個複習單元。let’s learn和let’s talk。所 要學習的語言內容，是重點。每單元提供若干任務型練習，包括一首歌謠或小詩。歌謠或小詩的學習，在這一冊，學生剛開始學習英語，書中涉及了一些日常生活中 使用頻率最高的語句，學習時不要求學生單純學説單詞，而要鼓勵學生學説句子，在句子中學説單詞。把單詞放到一個句子環境中，記憶效果更好。

在英語課堂上，大部分孩子都能很活躍的回答老師提出的問題，積極跟着老師拼讀單詞，朗讀課文。其實這也製造了一種假象，孩子認為自己常常被老師提問，認為自己能夠回答老師的問題，於是認為自己的英語學得很不錯，自我感覺特別好。於是下課後在英語上花的時間就相當少了。

其實要學好英語，課上佔40%，其餘的60%還 需要孩子在課後不斷的鞏固，加深記憶。在課上老師更多的是教授新知識，當然課上也會有少量的時間鞏固新學的知識。但是這些時間是公共的時間，而不是每個學 生私有的時間，所以不可能照顧到每個學生，不可能讓所有學生都達到相同的程度。況且每個學生對新知識的接受能力都是不同的，有的可能當堂就已經有很深的印 象，很難忘記，但這肯定是很少的。大部分學生都只能是初步接觸了新知識，要真正接受新知識還要學生在課後多下功夫，不然肯定會和別的同學拉下差距。

那麼在課後學生到底該怎麼做才能把其餘的60%補回來呢？英語畢竟不是我們自己的語言，大多數孩子除了英語課其餘時間根本就不會想到要説英語，所以，在課後一定要主動抽時間為自己補習英語。學好英語，不外乎就是在聽，説，讀，寫這些方面下功夫。

首先説一下聽，每次我們學過的英語，都要讓孩子去聽一聽、指一指，讓孩子多聽，聽的多了也就得到了鞏固。接下來是説，英語是一門語言，學了就是要説，要和別 人交流。我們學的英語不應該是啞巴英語，要讓每個孩子學會勇敢地説出來。在課上我會用各種方法來刺激學生，激發他們説英語的積極性，大多數學生也確實做得 很好。可是班級里人多，對每個人來説，説的機會就少。所以下課也要説；放學回家也要説。在學校，我鼓勵學生把所學的英語對話運用到生活中去，這樣有更真實 的情景，更能讓學生有發揮的餘地。在家裏，希望家長也能鼓勵學生説英語，也許你會説你自己也聽不懂，請不要這樣想，其實學生需要是你的.鼓勵，你聽了他們説 的只要簡單表揚一句，他們就會很滿足了。有時候你們也可以不懂裝懂，或者還可以讓學生反過來教你，他們會覺得很自豪，因為自己所學得派上了用場。
