以前的英語老師，姓宋，很胖，胖得眼睛都要眯起來了。

我覺得，老師的胖跟他能吃是有關係的。那一次，學校停電了，安排吃蛋炒飯。我們的餐盤只裝了一個格子，而宋老師的四個格子都裝滿了，都快要滿出來了。而且，老師吃飯很猛，感覺很餓似的，他是連續吃五口才停一下咀嚼。我們都看呆了，而老師吃光盤子後，又去加飯。——我們都發出驚歎聲。

但是老師肥胖的軀體中，卻包含着一顆盡職盡責，關愛我們的心。

他總是在教室裏陪着我們，他在座位間走得很緩慢，很平穩，兩手輕微地擺動，像一頭座頭鯨一樣在教室裏遊動。或者，他坐在教室的一角批改作業，有表現不好的，便會那竹板對着掌心打一下。

他很關心我們，臉上總是帶着微笑，跟我們講話，語速很平緩，對於那些考得好的同學，他會獎勵本子或者糖果，他會誇讚某某同學取得了進步，但是，有時也會很生氣，特別是看到一大堆人不及格，便會站在講台上，大聲地批評。

記得上個學期末考前一天，老師買來了一箱可樂，給我們加油。那時，大家有説有笑，老師坐在講台上給我們打氣，説等成績出來了，考到了九十分，他會獎勵我們棒棒糖。

可是，開學了，他卻沒有回來，聽説他去參加考試，考編制去了。

英語老師換成了一位女的，她講課更加的細心。可是，我還總是回想起宋老師的好，他對我們是那樣的體貼，把我們當成他的孩子一樣教。
